A Volkswagen do Brasil marca presença na 55ª edição da Festa do Peão de Boiadeiro, que se realiza entre os dias 19 e 29 de agosto, na cidade de Barretos, norte do estado de São Paulo. Trata-se da maior festa do peão da América Latina. A Volkswagen, mostra em seu estande a moderna Amarok, modelo de estreia da marca no segmento de pick-ups médias, que está à venda na rede de concessionárias Volkswagen. Volkswagen alemã promove concurso internacional de design pela 8ª vez

A Volkswagen mundial patrocina pela oitava vez consecutiva o Interior Motives Design Award, concurso destinado a estudantes de arquitetura e design de todo o mundo, cuja cerimônia de premiação está marcada para outubro, em Paris. O tema deste ano é Conduzindo a Revolução Interior, e, em uma das categorias, os inscritos trabalharam o conceito criado pela Volkswagen “Aumente o Volume”, cujo objetivo é pensar novas formas de dividir e construir o interior de um automóvel. Os finalistas serão conhecidos no início de setembro e a premiação está marcada para 1º de outubro.

Patrocinando o concurso desde 2003, a Volkswagen considera-o essencial para promover jovens talentos. “Queremos conhecer suas ideias e os integrar a projetos atuais ou futuros da nossa empresa. Estamos sempre em busca de tendências”, explica Wolfsgang Müller-Pietralla, Chefe de Pesquisas de Tendências da Volkswagen e um dos jurados.

O Interior Motives Design Award 2010 recebeu trabalhos de estudantes arquitetura e design que se graduaram no último ano acadêmico ou ingressaram na faculdade de design em 2010. Os vencedores nas dez categorias, que incluem Melhor Inovação e Melhor Uso da Tecnologia, receberão um cheque de 5 mil euros.

Menurut beberapa sumber Yamaha Byson yang juga mempunyai nama Yamaha FZ-16 Byson ini baru akan dirilis dalam waktu dekat, Harga Yamaha Byson belum diumumkan secara resmi tetapi diperkirakan tidak jauh dari pesaingnya New Megapro berkisar Rp. 19 Juta-an , sepertinya Yamaha Bison dimaksudkan sebagai suksesor Yamaha Vixion yang sudah cukup lama keluar, beberapa perubahan diantaranya lampu depan, desai knalpot dan tanki bensin yang terkesan futuristik. The Ford Focus remains unchanged for 2010, offering its drivers a 2.0L inline 4 cylinder Duratec Engine in both its sedan and coupe versions. The term "Duratec" describes Ford's DOHC (dual overhead cam) engine. Base models include a 5 speed manual transmission on all versions of the Focus, while a 4 speed automatic is available as an option.

The standard 5 speed manual transmission gets slightly better gas mileage than its automatic version. Gas mileage is rated at 24 MPG city and 35 MPG highway. Several states offer a slightly greener version of this engine, with cleaner emissions and very little change to horsepower; 136 at 6,000 RPMs, and torque; 133 at 4250 RPMs. Several of Ford Focus's competitors no longer offer a manual transmission.

Virtually every trim package has been revised for the 2010 Ford Focus. Trim packages available include the S, SE, SEL, and SES. Coupes and sedan body styles are both offered, with only sedans coming in all four trim packages. For a mid-level trim package, the SE models come with relatively limited options being offered. SEL models come with chrome exterior highlights, complete leather seating, heated mirrors, enhanced suspensions, and optional heated front seats. SES trim packages are offered with 17 inch allow wheels, more enhanced body styling, highway tuned suspension. The only engine offered for the 2010 Ford Focus is the 2.0 liter inline four cylinder that can give 140 horsepower. The standard transmission for these engines is a 5 speed manual, while there is a four speed automatic offered as optional equipment. Most models will receive between 24 mpg city and 35 mpg highway for manual transmission equipped vehicles. Models that have the automatic transmission lose approximate 2 mpg in both city and highway driving.
